How do you define a guru?

I would define a guru as an expert or a master in any particular field, whom people will turn to for advice.

What does a normal work day look like for you, starting from the moment you wake up?

My morning routine is so unremarkable. I wake up, I shower, I shave, I have breakfast, and I love playing Words with friends. So I will play while I’m having breakfast, and then I’ll go to work. That’s my morning routine.

What time do you wake up?

It depends on what time my first patient is. I usually wake up an hour and a half before my first patient. On the weekends, I sometimes sleep in a little bit later.

What do you have for breakfast?

Every single morning I have a protein shake. I am the new spokesperson for a great superfood meal replacement called Flip Seven, so I put Flip Seven into my protein drink with a little bit of juice and some fruit, and I’m off to go. I’ve had the same breakfast pretty much my whole life.

Do you work out?

I work out every single day of my life, no matter what, rain or shine.

Do you have a special routine to get you in the zone? Meditation type, maybe?

Absolutely. My special routine is to take one of my Kickballz, 30 minutes before I go to the gym to work out. Kickballz are a sugar-free caffeinated gumball that I created with 110 milligrams of caffeine. It gives me just the right amount of caffeine to make me work out at my optimal performance.

What time do you get to work?

I usually get to work around eight o’clock in the morning.

What do you have for Lunch? Do you even eat lunch?

It’s the same lunch I’ve had for the last 40 years. A turkey sandwich and an apple.

Are working lunches something that works for you?

Yes.

How much time do you take for yourself during lunch?

It depends on what my patient’s schedule is like, but I would say it averages 15 to 30 minutes

How much work are you hoping to achieve in your working hours?

I would say I always try to work at my maximum performance peak.

Do you take a break in between?

Nope. My motto — you can rest when you’re dead.

What does settling in look like for you?

Every day after work, I go directly to the gym. That’s when I put on my headphones, I listen to the news and I just kind of zone out while I’m working out.

Do you turn off your phone when you’re getting emails from work?

No.

What does a normal wind-down look like for you?

After working out, I either go out for dinner or go home and have dinner. I will usually answer emails and then I like to chill and watch a movie or TV show.
