Born and raised on a horse farm in Tennessee, to a family rooted in Cherokee heritage, Jeff’s unique mixture of influences are the source of the unbridled spirit witnessed in his work. In addition to design, he is a poet, speaker, actor, scientist, farmer, horseman & sustainable activist. His short documentary, Remastered: Prophetik, won an Emmy for documentary in Culture & Art (2019) and is streaming on Amazon Prime.

How do you define a guru?
Spiritual with wisdom not just knowledge of a subject matter.
What does a normal work day look like for you, starting from the moment you wake up?
There is no normal and if it was work to me I would not be doing it. I follow passion.
What time do you wake up?
I sleep 4 hours a night.
What do you have for breakfast?
Acacia bowls.
Do you work out?
Yes.
Do you have a special routine to get you in the zone? Meditation type maybe?
I surf everyday or ride a horse and meditate.
What time do you get to work?
I don’t work – I create everyday all hours.
What do you have for Lunch? Do you even eat lunch?

Are working lunches something that works for you?
I tend to do board meetings in the ocean.
How much time do you take for yourself during lunch?
10 minutes.
How much work are you hoping to achieve in your working hours?
I create until I am finished.
Do you take a break in between?
I take a nature break when needed.
What does settling in look like for you?
I don’t know what that means. I believe we should do one thing a day that we would not normally do, so we don’t settle.
Do you turn off your phone when you’re getting emails from work?
My phone is typically always off.
What does a normal wind-down look like for you?
If your not wind up then you don’t need a wind won.
