Name:
Lauren Buglioli
Occupation:
Actress
What is your truth?
I’m committed to leading a heart-led life.
What are you most passionate about?
My work, my dogs, my friends, my family, and self-development. Also memes. And podcasts. Coffee as well. If we’re being honest… guilty pleasure reality TV.
When do you feel your most authentic?
In a Mayfair Group sweat set, with no makeup, snuggling on the couch with my dogs. I think this may actually be expanding on “my truth”.
Bit of bio:
Lauren Buglioli was born in Los Angeles, CA, where her passion for entertainment began as a small child. After relocating to London, England, for middle school and high school, she soon began working as an actress in film, television, radio, and theatre. Buglioli made the transition back to the U.S. to continue her education at NYU, Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, and UCB. Her training paid off, as Lauren has seen consistent success with roles in Apple TV+’s BAD MONKEY with Vince Vaughn, Netflix’s hit series FLORIDA MAN, Tyler Perry’s A JAZZMAN’S BLUES, HBO’s THE GREAT LILLIAN HALL, and the independent feature CINNAMON, amongst others. She currently stars as Vanessa in CBS’s newest hit series BEYOND THE GATES, which made its debut on February 24th of this year. In addition to her work on stage and screen, Buglioli has a degree in early childhood education, which she put to good use as a teacher while developing her credits as an actress. Giving back to others, particularly to youth and those with special needs has been additional areas of focus for her, where she’s worked directly with the likes of Heart Gallery, and Atlanta’s Chastain Horse Park.
Lauren is also passionate about working with actors as a career and audition coach on their mindset to foster a love of the creative process and encourage them to feel empowered and inspired while navigating the industry. Most notably, Lauren adopted two offensively cute dogs, Vixen and Beverly Hills Cop II, from Lifeline Animal Project and she will be thrilled if you ask to see a photo of them.
How do you define a guru?
Someone who I admire, trust and who has wisdom to help me on my journey. Sometimes this is a friend. Sometimes a therapist. But always, it is my dogs.
What does a normal work day look like for you, starting from the moment you wake up?
If I’m filming and I have an early call time, I get up an hour and a half before I need to leave for set (otherwise I’m up by 6 or 7 am depending on when I head to bed the night before). This gives me time to take a cold shower, make water with electrolytes and coffee with MCT oil, have breakfast, walk and feed my dogs, journal, meditate, run my lines before work, and beat Atlanta traffic! Then I’ll get to work where I head to hair and makeup, continue to go over my material for the day, and film before we wrap and it’s time to head home! When I get back to my place I walk my dogs, eat dinner, and cuddle with the pups while I work on whatever scenes are up next that week. To wind down before bed I watch an episode of whatever show I’m into at the moment, shower, do my skincare routine, get in bed to journal, and read before heading to bed.
What time do you wake up?
It depends on my shooting schedule. I love to be up by 6 or 7am but my priority is always making sure I get 7 hours of sleep.
What do you have for breakfast?
I love Factor 75 meals. I have a Factor 75 breakfast in the morning with my coffee. I love their steak and I’ll have it with eggs in the morning before work.
Do you work out?
I do! I love weight training and Pilates. I’m obsessed with Kinfolk Pilates in Atlanta. Kem is incredible!
Do you have a special routine to get you in the zone? Meditation type maybe?
I love to meditate. I also love Stevie Wright’s breathwork channel for my breathwork practice. I love to listen to Brendon Burchard’s Growth Day app on the way to work.

What time do you get to work?
I always get there 30-45 minutes early so I have time to get into wardrobe and get settled before heading to hair and makeup. But also… Atlanta traffic is a fickle mistress.
What do you have for Lunch? Do you even eat lunch?
I don’t like to eat a heavy lunch at the studio because I get sleepy after a large meal, so I bring a smoothie and some small snacks to hold me over before going home to have dinner. When I’m not on set, I have one of my three Factor 75 meals a day for lunch. This is not an ad, but Factor 75, please feel free to hit me up if you’d like it to be.
Are working lunches something that works for you?
Yes! Sometimes I Facetime with my friend (and guru, coincidentally, Mary Kathryn Bryant) to run through lines before heading to set.
How much time do you take for yourself during lunch?
I typically take 30 minutes for myself and 30 minutes to work on lines before heading back to work.
How much work are you hoping to achieve in your working hours?
4 hours minimum (outside of filming) but we’re doing our best… no more questions, please. El oh el.
Do you take a break in between?
Yes! I use the Pomodoro technique during my office hours and even have a nerd-like timer and whiteboard to keep me focused. Sometimes it works. Other times… squirrel!
What does settling in look like for you?
I love to come home and light some candles, chill on the couch in front of my fireplace, make some tea, and watch a show to decompress. You know the Sleepytime Tea bear? That’s very much my vibe.
