Brandy Norwood Stars in New Lifetime Holiday Film Christmas Everyday, Alongside Daughter Sy’Rai Smith

Grammy® Award-winning artist and actress Brandy Norwood is bringing star power and heart to Lifetime’s annual It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday movie slate. Norwood will headline and executive produce Christmas Everyday, a feel-good family film that also marks the acting debut of her real-life daughter, Sy’Rai Smith.

Produced by FOX Entertainment Studios, the film is poised to be the flagship title for Lifetime’s 2025 holiday programming. The story follows Francine “Fancy” Ballantine (Brandy Norwood), a successful fashion designer trying to balance her blossoming career with mounting family responsibilities during the most hectic time of the year.

After the passing of her father, Fancy is determined to uphold his beloved Christmas traditions, especially as her mother, Evelyn (played by veteran actress Debbi Morgan), begins to lose her sight. On top of that, she’s coordinating the wedding of her demanding younger sister Belle (Sy’Rai Smith)—an endeavor made even more stressful when a burst water pipe threatens to derail the big day. Enter Jaylen (Robert C. Riley), a rugged contractor who swoops in to help, turning Fancy’s world upside down and offering a lesson in love, faith, and the true spirit of the season.

Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (UnReal) also joins the cast as Fancy’s co-worker, Germaine, adding another layer of charm and holiday cheer to the ensemble.

“The holidays are always about family as part of the festivities, so I’m beyond thrilled to be partnering with Lifetime on this magical holiday project and having my own daughter star with me – even though we are playing sisters!” said Norwood. “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime has become such a beloved tradition, and I’m honored to star and executive produce.”

Adding to the holiday magic, the film will feature Brandy’s original 2023 holiday track, “Christmas Everyday,” bringing her signature voice to the movie’s soundtrack.

Christmas Everyday is directed by Roger Bobb and penned by writers Meg DeLoatch and Cameron Ross. Executive producers include Stella Bulochnikov, Dr. Holly Carter, Brandy Norwood, and Ryan Ramsey, along with Fernando Szew, Hannah Pillemer, Larry Grimaldi, and Adam Shepard for FOX Entertainment Studios. FOX Entertainment Global will handle international distribution.
