Claris Health marked five decades of serving Los Angeles families with its 50th Anniversary City Lights Gala on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Hosted by actress Bresha Webb and her husband, television writer-producer and Marine Corps veteran Nick Jones Jr., the evening celebrated the nonprofit’s lasting impact while raising funds for its future Claris Health Campus.

Since its founding in 1976, Claris Health has provided individuals and families with support through pregnancy, parenting, mental health, and sexual health services. The milestone gala brought together supporters, community partners, and special guests to honor the organization’s legacy and help expand access to care for generations to come.

A Personal Story at the Heart of the Celebration
The evening carried particular significance for hosts Bresha Webb, known for her roles in Hacks and Run the World, and Nick Jones Jr., whose television credits include Tulsa King and The Agency. Jones was previously a Claris Health patient as a single father, and the organization’s connection with the couple continued as they began their family, with Claris Health CEO Talitha Phillips later serving as their doula.

Their experience reflected the organization’s commitment to walking alongside families through different stages of life. By sharing stories of personal connection and care, the gala highlighted how community-based services can make a meaningful difference well beyond a single moment.
Phillips joined the celebration in recognition of the nonprofit’s 50-year history and its continued mission to equip and care for individuals and families before, during, and after pregnancy and sexual-health decisions.
Celebrating Five Decades of Community Care
The City Lights Gala featured transformative stories that illustrated the people and families behind Claris Health’s work. The evening also included a special performance by married duo Chad Kimball, a Tony-nominated Broadway actor known for Memphis and Come From Away, and Emily Swallow, recognized for her roles in The Mandalorian, Supernatural, and Castlevania.

Claris Health has built its services around accessible, family-centered care, offering free or low-cost prenatal and sexual-health services, mental health counseling, parenting classes, and education. Operating in West Los Angeles and Lynwood, the nonprofit continues to meet essential needs across the Los Angeles community.
The gala’s sponsors included Second Collective, Burke Williams, Collective Church, Reality Church of Los Angeles, Renew Church, Thousand Oaks Inn, Community Church Playa, S.L. Leonard & Associates, and Sunrise Transparence.
Building the Next 50 Years
Beyond honoring its history, the anniversary celebration supported an important next chapter for Claris Health: the development of its new Claris Health Campus at 3200 W. Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood. Proceeds from the gala will help fund the campus, which is intended to expand access to services for individuals and families in the years ahead.
