At 66 years old, Tricia Connor Jackson moves through the world with a kind of effortless grace that makes you wonder why age ever mattered at all. She’s a professional actress and model, formerly known for her work as an executive at Procter & Gamble and Nestlé, but those titles only scratch the surface. The real story is how she chooses to live boldly, joyfully, and without limits.

“Age has never, ever been something that I’ve looked at as a detriment,” Jackson tells Gurus Magazine. “I’ve always just been myself and I’ve always tried to be the best version of myself possible.”
Her life has been a masterclass in reinvention. Raising three children under the age of four while building a corporate career could have felt impossible, but Jackson approached it with a sense of curiosity and excitement.

“I just lived in an environment with parents who were confidence boosters,” she remembers. “If I said I wanted to do something, they would find a way to provide the opportunity for me to do it.”
That early encouragement planted a seed that has guided every decision, every leap, every new chapter in her life.

And she leaps often. Jackson’s daily rituals reflect a fierce commitment to her mind, body, and soul. A runner since age 11, she runs three miles, five days a week and lifts weights to stay strong, not thin.
“When my body and my mind are healthy, my soul is inspired,” she explains. “I feel my best when my mind is working, my body is working, and my heart is joyful. That’s when my confidence and energy resonate.”
For Jackson, vitality is a responsibility she claims fully for herself: “Nobody is going to carry me to the gym. It’s my choice. It’s me who makes it happen.”

Her approach to beauty is just as unapologetically hers as Jackson knows the appeal never boils down to the number on one’s birthday cake, how many covers one has on a magazine, or if one is participating in the latest beauty trend.
“Beauty is how you feel in your mind, your body, and your soul, and what you bring to the world,” she says. “There’s no reason any of us can’t shine at every stage of life. It’s a choice.”
She points to her mother, who lived to 92, as the embodiment of this philosophy: “Her personality, her joy, the way she added to people’s lives, that’s what made her beautiful.”

Style, too, is a source of joy rather than obligation. In Jackson’s world, fashion isn’t about impressing others; it’s about honoring herself.
“Style excites me,” she says. “When something makes me smile, I wear it. I’m not chasing trends. I buy mostly secondhand, except for fitness wear and undergarments. What matters is joy, what makes me feel happy.”

Jackson’s perspective on life is perhaps what inspires the most. As she prepares to receive the Inspiration Award at the Gurus Awards this month, she reflects on the challenges that have shaped her: leaving an abusive marriage, pursuing a college education at 18, and navigating life’s inevitable hardships with grit and grace.

“It’s going to get tough,” she says, candidly. “But how you approach that day is your choice. The ceilings, the walls, the traps, you get to decide. There is always a way forward.”
And in an industry that often overlooks age, Jackson refuses to be defined by it.

“I don’t care what the industry celebrates,” she says. “I believe there are roles for mature women, and there always will be. What fuels my joy, compassion, and vitality is not the world; it’s me. I choose to stay engaged, to move, to care, and to live fully.”
Ultimately, Jackson champions choice. Every morning, she decides to step into her life fully… her health, her joy, her relationships, her purpose.: “Everything that you are is your choice. Don’t wait for the world to inspire you. You be your own greatest champion.”

By her own example, Jackson proves that being fabulous isn’t about age; it’s about intention, courage, and living with passion. At 66, she shows us all that what truly matters is how you move through your days, the energy you bring, and the life you choose to create.
