Noir Moments – Gurus 2nd Oscars Retreat Photo Studio (Part One)

by | Mar 17, 2025

On February 28th and March 1st, Gurus Magazine held its 2nd Gurus Pre Oscars Retreat at the Godfrey Hotel Hollywood. Hosted by publisher and founder, Derek Warburton, and executive produced by Rachel Wilson, the gathering was an incredible retreat honoring Habitat for Humanity LA, activations ranging from Ayala Farms Farmer’s Market to fashion to healing to the #GurusBeauty Bar.

Gurus Award winner, fashion, & celebrity photographer, Josh Fogel, along with his team Josh Davis and Victor Rodriguez shot over 100 people in the course of these two sunny days. With the glam team led by Gurus Beauty Director, Joel Sebastian, guests stepped glamorously into a blacked out box on the IO Rooftop. Then step out with iconic and soulful portraits.
