On February 28th and March 1st, the Godfrey Hotel Hollywood transformed into a creative haven for Gurus Magazine’s 2nd Pre-Oscars Retreat. Under the vision of publisher and founder, Derek Warburton, and the expert orchestration of executive producer, Rachel Wilson, this extraordinary gathering celebrated Habitat for Humanity LA while offering guests an array of experiences from Ayala Farms Farmer’s Market to fashion showcases, healing sessions, and the popular #GurusBeauty Bar.
The retreat’s photographic magic continued as Gurus Award-winning photographer, Josh Fogel, alongside team members Josh Davis and Victor Rodriguez, captured the essence of over 100 attendees throughout the sun-drenched two-day event. Guests received the full star treatment from the glam squad directed by Gurus Beauty Director, Joel Sebastian before entering the mysterious blacked-out chamber on the IO Rooftop. They emerged with stunning black and white portraits that revealed their most authentic and compelling selves.
