Here is how Simpson used his voice:

Who is the true you?

There is only 1 me. Just one Patrik Simpson. The true me is ME. I am authentic and original. I say what’s on my mind whether it’s a favored opinion or not. I am leader and not a folower. Anyone that knows me personally knows that I am not afraid to speak, eat, breathe or Love and Live my truth publicly. I do that by being who I am privately and publicly the same. Nothing changes except my hairstyle and my fashion.

What is your passion?

My passion is living my life to the fullest and treasure each day as it may be your last. When we were given the gift of life there was no expiration date, meaning no one knows when your last breath will be…so live, love, and laugh because that is what is truly special and that is how I want to be remembered, that I DID Live, Love and laugh. Besides my passion for living life, travel is second on my list having been to seventy-nine countries worldwide.

When do you feel the most authentic?

I am comfortable and happy in my own skin. I am authentically who I am at every given time. I live my life out proud and content in living my truth in the most authentic way. My horoscope sign is Cancer and I do tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. I am very emotional but, not afraid to speak out for what I believe in. Many times it may not be what the general consensus’ opinion is, but my beliefs and truths I live and speak loudly and clearly to who I am. I think being my authentic self has helped me to navigate my life and love on a daily basis. It may not always be easy but it’s HONEST and that is what makes me…ME.

Why is it important for YOUR voice to be heard?

As a out and proud gay male living my truth I am honored to be a part of Derek Warburton’s GURUS magazine Campaign #30voices30days to lend my voice of the importance of acceptance and love and support. As a role model to LGBTQ+ teens that are questioning their sexuality and their worth on this planet and they are perplexed as if they can lead a loving fruitful life with a same-sex partner, I want to be that person that tells them, “YES. You can have a beautiful and happy life, have kids, marry the love of your life and travel the world and despite all odds against us…you can LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH”

Here is how Atteu used his voice:

Who is the true you?

I am creative, fun and passionate in everything I do. I think that is why I chose to be A custom couture fashion designer. My designs our imagined to inspire the every Woman in her daily life. When a woman comes to me for a gown I strive for them to be the best dressed at their event. When they are wearing a Pol’ Atteu, I am there with Them in spirit, whether I am present or not. I love to live in the life that I have created and thrive in the community that supports Me is all aspects of life that helps me identify and soar to new heights.

What is your passion?

My passion is fashion. That is my motto and tag line and how I have built my reputation and business in custom couture design. But, to go further, I am passionate about all I do and living my life unapologetically with no regrets.

When do you feel the most authentic?

Every day, each day and all day. I am a true believer in living your best life as you and no-one else. Every twenty four hours is a reset and recharge to do better. I strongly believe that we are all on an individual journey together on this planet and some of our lives cross and connect. But, the Fact that I choose every day to live my life REAL and with those around me that love me and support me as I do he same for them, speaks volumes about living your true and authentic self.

Why is it important for YOUR voice to be heard?

Six years ago I was brutally attacked backstage at my fashion show in a hate crime. As I was being beaten the assailant screamed the words “You f*****g f****t” continuously as he struck me in the head. That day Changed my life forever. I fought vigorously for justice and for my assailant To take responsibility and admit that was in-fact a hate crime. Last month He was finally convicted on two felony counts: One for assault and battery and The second was a conviction for a hate crime. I hope my perseverance and Dedication to following through with justice will be an example for others in our Community who are afraid to speak out and live their truth.
