There are loads of “coaches” in the world right now telling entrepreneurs they can manifest anything. Often this will include your career and business but could it really be that simple? Spoiler alert. It’s not.
Being anti-hustle is nice but won’t get you closer to financial freedom.
We all dream of never working again, working our way to the top and achieving incredible success. Then you’ll be able to look back on your life accomplishing everything you wished. However, that isn’t possible without actually putting in the work first. Anyone telling you it’s possible to manifest a multi-million dollar company is selling you rubbish.
Manifestation doesn’t work without effort. Even in these terms the universe can’t bring you anything if you’re unwilling to put yourself out there. Take a leap and start the ripple effect that could eventually lead to someone or something coming back to you that’s life changing. There is no perfect time to do this either. Stop waiting and start doing. Imperfect action is okay!
The work is the work. In order to build a network of incredible clients, achieve authority, build revenue and elevate your business to that next level you need to do the leg work. If you want to create maximum impact you have to do whatever it takes, late nights, early mornings, all of the above. To attain financial freedom and build the dream business you need perseverance and tenacity.
Manifestation is super trendy but that doesn’t mean it works for everything.
I know dozens of people who have multi-million dollar companies and none of us got there without working extremely hard to achieve that success. I’m an advocate of having a vision, but even better is bringing it to life with your own hands. There’s no trick or hack that’s going to take you around that. No amount of dreaming, visualizing or journaling will bring you success – without effort.
You have to get out there and not be afraid to fly. This also means not being afraid to fail.
Push your limits and work your ass off, don’t wait for the doors to open, kick them in.
Be creative and innovative. Produce your own revolution. Realize your audacious goals.
By tapping into your unique genius, owning what it is you can do and actually doing the work, you’ll be able to unlock a lot more possibilities than your mind could ever have imagined.
The world isn’t changed by thoughts without putting them into action.
Commercializing your expertise and breaking into the high end market
My first venture into entrepreneurship was as the CEO and Founder of an ecommerce company in 2005. It grew over 9 ½ years into an extremely successful online store with hundreds of thousands of customers, a big online following, and a bunch of awards.
This was completely a volume play. My life turned into Hustle City for that length of time. It wasn’t easy by any means and I loved my work but I love my family more. Once I sold that business, I was determined to do something very different to that.
Launching my latest company Luxury Influencers, I’m representing the most elite experts and helping them capitalize on their influence at the highest level. I was tired of volume and decided to use a luxury business model by working at the top and targeting the most extraordinary clients then filtering my way down. This was invaluable for my lifestyle and allowed me to attract and work with the best of the best. Are there still long days and early mornings? Absolutely. Would I say I’ve worked my fingers to the bone again? Yes, but this time around the difference we’re making in people’s lives is immensely fulfilling.
Commercializing your expertise means leveraging your authority and specialty to become the leading brand in your industry. When you thrive in a luxury market you can develop services that go deeper for your client base generating incredible results and earnings.
If you’re truly exceptional at what you do, you can use that to make exponential growth through positioning yourself at an ultra premium level where your services are worth top dollar. You work, but it’s an aligned action. Aligned with your genius. Aligned with your level of expertise.
Work At Becoming An Icon In your Industry, The Best In The World
When you’re working at something you’re passionate about, that alignment of effort, pouring your heart and soul into it, and drive is dynamite. Don’t just believe you can think the change, believe there is no one just like you and you can own your industry. Embrace your excellence.
If I see a true genius or superstar rising I know it. They can do anything they put their mind to. Becoming an icon in your business doesn’t have to do with having a million followers. It has everything to do with being that elite expert.
As host of the Icons Incorporated podcast, I’ve studied icons of business and branding. Icons put themselves in a category of one, they own their industry. They are extreme pioneers and revolutionaries. They always have huge goals and even more tremendous drives
Whether you’re a coach, consultant, author, celebrity actor or actress, whatever your niche, if you think you’re best in the world at something there are people out there willing to pay you very handsomly but you need to provide mastery and transformation.
I’d recommend looking at your business and seeing if you can take what you’re already doing in the mainstream market and give it to the luxury end of the market. There’s less competition, greater margins, and really you can create more impact because it’s all about delivering a deeply magical experience.
