There is something undeniably magical about New York City from above. An endless skyline. The pulse of Times Square. The feeling that, for a moment, you’re floating above the vigor that makes Manhattan unlike anywhere else in the world. Now, that experience has a new address. Perched 33 stories above the city, Voco Roofbar has officially opened atop the newly launched voco Times Square – Broadway by IHG, bringing a sophisticated yet approachable rooftop destination to the core of Midtown.
Another dynamic creation by Carnegie Hospitality, the year-round rooftop combines panoramic views, elevated cocktails, globally inspired cuisine, and a welcoming atmosphere that feels equally suited for after-work drinks, date nights, celebrations, and late-night gatherings.

In a city filled with rooftop destinations, Voco Roofbar distinguishes itself by embracing both luxury and accessibility. The 2,700-square-foot space features a sleek design complemented by a retractable roof, allowing guests to enjoy the skyline in every season. Whether bathed in the golden glow of sunset or illuminated by the vibrant lights of Times Square after dark, the venue effortlessly transforms with the rhythm of the city.
At the helm is restaurateur and hospitality veteran Stathis Antonakopoulos, CEO of Carnegie Hospitality and owner of beloved dining concepts including Carnegie Diner & Cafe and Delos Greek Restaurant. Gurus is no stranger to his passion for hospitality – which began in Greece, at a young age – where he worked alongside his grandfather at the family’s hotel and restaurant before building a distinguished career in New York’s competitive dining landscape. That commitment to creating memorable guest experiences is evident throughout every aspect of his endeavours – Voco Roofbar is no different.

Designed around sharing and social connection, the menu showcases an eclectic collection of globally inspired small tapa style plating that encourage guests to explore and indulge together. Highlights include delicate sea bass ceviche layered with avocado and chili, ahi tuna enhanced with truffle ponzu and sweet chili, and richly flavored beef carpaccio finished with yuzu ponzu and crisp sunchoke chips. For those seeking heartier fare, wagyu souvlaki skewers paired with jalapeño-yuzu yogurt, pulled Black Angus short rib tacos, and shrimp tempura served with spicy sweet chili mayo deliver bold flavor profiles that balance sophistication with comfort.
The menu’s thoughtful fusion of Mediterranean and Asian influences mirrors the cosmopolitan spirit of New York itself – familiar enough to feel inviting while introducing unexpected twists that keep diners intrigued.

Equally impressive is the cocktail program. Crafted with the same attention to detail as the cuisine, Voco Roofbar’s beverage menu features a collection of inventive seasonal cocktails that are both visually stunning and expertly balanced. The Golden Hour Spritz combines vodka, yuzu, elderflower, and prosecco into a refreshing tribute to sunset views, while the Broadway Blush layers lychee with rosé vermouth for a vibrant, fruit-forward sip.
More adventurous palates may gravitate toward the Shiso Skyline, which blends gin, shiso, and peppermint into a refreshing herbal creation, or the Sumac Sensei Mezcalita, a complex cocktail featuring olive oil-infused mezcal, passion fruit, and citrus notes. Even non-drinkers are treated to an elevated experience. Signature mocktails such as the Lost Dragon and Golden Koi deliver the same level of creativity and refinement found throughout the cocktail program, ensuring every guest feels included in the experience.
What ultimately sets Voco Roofbar apart, however, is its ability to capture something increasingly rare in New York hospitality: balance. It is stylish without feeling pretentious. Sophisticated without being intimidating. Energetic without becoming overwhelming. Delivering an atmosphere that feels intimate despite its expansive views.
