LOS ANGELES, CA — February 14, 2026 — Filming Italy Los Angeles’ XI edition took place February 10–14, 2026. Continuing its mission of strengthening cultural and creative ties between Italy and Hollywood, the festival brought together world-renowned filmmakers, performers, and artists for a dynamic program of screenings and masterclasses. Events were hosted at the Italian Institute of Culture, the Directors Guild of America Theater, and the Harmony Gold Theatre.
“We were thrilled to bring these exceptional artists and films from Italy to Los Angeles,” said Tiziana Rocca, General Director of Filming Italy Los Angeles. “Filming Italy Los Angeles continues to strengthen the creative dialogue between Italy and Hollywood, and this year’s festival was a great success.”
The opening Night of the festival took place at the Italian Institute of Culture. It featured a special event dedicated to the acclaimed Italian composer Giovanni Allevi, including a screening of Giovanni Allevi: Back to Life, which was followed by an onstage conversation and a live musical performance by the Maestro.
The major highlight of this year’s festival took place on Thursday, February 12, with the celebration of legendary actor Franco Nero, who received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Filming Italy Los Angeles also honored Nero with the Premio Speciale Filming Italy Los Angeles, marking a historic moment for Italian cinema in Hollywood.

Juliette Binoche received the Best Director Debut Award for IN-I IN MOTION, while Paolo Genovese was honored with the Best Director Award for FolleMente. Rayna Vallandingham received the Women Power Award.

The official selection at the Directors Guild of America Theater included Il Maestro, directed by Andrea Di Stefano; La Grazia by Paolo Sorrentino; FolleMente by Paolo Genovese; and IN-I IN MOTION, directed by and centered on Juliette Binoche.
Additional festival screenings took place at the Harmony Gold Theatre and included Zvanì – Il Romanzo Famigliare di Giovanni Pascoli, directed by Giuseppe Piccioni; Domani Interrogo by Umberto Riccioni Carteni; Breve Storia d’Amore by Ludovica Rampoldi; Agata Christian – Delitto sulle Nevi by Eros Puglielli; Zorro, directed by Sergio Castellitto; and Buen Camino by Gennaro Nunziante.
During the festival, Filming Italy Los Angeles presented its prestigious awards honoring excellence in performance, directing, music, casting, costume design, and international impact. Anna Ferzetti received the Best Performance Award for La Grazia and served as the Italian Ambassador to the festival; Francine Maisler was honored with the Best Casting Director Award for Sinners; and Samuel Arnold received an International Award.

Further honorees included Clara, who received the Best Music Award; Fausto Leali, honored with the Achievement Award; Omar Benson Miller, who received an International Award for his role in Sinners; and Tonatiuh, who was honored with an International Award for Kiss of the Spider Woman. Lisa Ann Walter received the Women Power Award, and Margherita Buoncristiani was the recipient of the Cotril Beauty Award, recognizing her as an actress and rising future star.
